    Startup Company Registration Process In India

    In this section we will discuss about Make in India registration process for Start-Up Business in India. We assist domestic as well as foreign companies in starting their business in India with Following Steps:
    • Business Incorporation – Firstly, incorporation of a business is done whether the company is a private limited, partnership firm, or limited liability partnership firm.
    • Submit Online Application – After selecting the company type, submit the online application. You’ll get a confirmation email with a payment reference number.

    Register with startup India – 

    The business is registered as a start up and it is an online process. Profile is created on the website, after this applicant can apply for various acceleration, mentorship programmes and other challenges in addition to this get access to resources like learning and development program, Government schemes, state policies for startup business etc.
    • Submit documents with Registrar – File a reservation request with the Companies Commission for the proposed company name. The company application will be filed for registration with the authorized name and supporting documents.
    • Grant of registration certificate – A registration certificate will be granted by mail. Company registration documents can be downloaded from the link.

    Process Of Getting Permission For "Make In India" Logo

    1. Submit request – All requests forwarded to the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion will be examined using merit-based criteria. They’d need to be approved by DPIIT’s (Secretary) JS (Joint Secretary) (Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade).
    2. Require additional information – If it deems necessary, the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion may seek additional information in relation to the request to use the “Make in India” emblem for Events, Publications, Websites or Portals, Electronic Programs, and other purposes.
    3. Made request for the use of the logo in case of electronic media – Requests for using the logo on electronic media must be submitted to the DPIIT at least 30 days in advance. In addition to the request, the following information must be provided:
      • Nature of the Program.
      • Profile or track record of producers of the game.
      • The target audience.
      • The contents of the program and, in specific, inclusion of manufacturing-related content of the program.

    Note:- Apart from the aforementioned uses, the logo’s usage for any other purpose would be solely based on the merits of the specific case. The visibility, impact, and scope of manufacturing or its linked aspects would be retained for future reference. Following that, the JS can approve it (BE-III).

    How To Register For Make In India (Mii Registration)?

    Make in India (MII) is not a scheme but rather an initiative launched on September 25, 2014, to facilitate investment, foster innovation, build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure, make doing business easier, and enhance skill development.

    Several Central Government Ministries / Departments and various State Governments engage in investment promotion activities as part of the Make in India initiative from time to time. There is no provision for company registration under the ‘Make In India’ initiative.

    There is a provision for “self-certification for local content”. There is also a provision to use “make in India” logo. The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion grants permission to use the “Make in India” logo. The process to get permission for use of “Make in India” logo is described above. The person seeking permission to use the “Make in India” logo must apply or Make in India Registration certificate to the DIPP in the prescribed format. The use of the ‘Make in India’ logo without the permission of DIPP is strictly prohibited.

    Make In India Certificate/ (MII Certificate)

    The DPIIT’s public procurement (preference to make in India) orders 2017 was intended to encourage Make In India. According to the preamble of this order, the government of India’s policy is to encourage make in India program and promote manufacturing and production of goods and services in India in order to increase income and employment.

    According to this order, a class-I local supplier is defined as a supplier or service provider whose goods, services, or works offered for procurement meet the local content requirement of 50% or more. At the time of tender, bidding, or solicitation, the local supplier must provide “self-certification of local content” in the prescribed format. A “self-certification of local content” is a self declaration certificate that ensures a certain percentage of local content. The Make in India Certificate, also known as the MII Certificate.

    GeM (Government e-Marketplace)

    Government e-Marketplace is an online public procurement platform in India. To promote the Make in India campaign and Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, the Government of India has made it mandatory to mention the ‘country of origin’ on GeM.

    GeM has also enabled a provision for indicating the percentage of local content in products. The supplier or sellers shall be required to furnish “self certification of local content” (Make in India certificate for GeM/MII certificate) in prescribed format to ensure the percentage of local content in the product.
